Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
As the Finance Director at JBY Medicine LTD, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the financial health of our organization. Responsibilities include:
1. Financial Oversight: Manage JBY's financial operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare industry regulations and financial best practices.
2. Policy Development: Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and procedures to to support efficiency and business growth.
3 . Financial Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and present financial data, including profitability, revenue, and pricing trends, to guide strategic decision-making.
4. Strategic Collaboration: Provide financial insights to senior leadership, fostering data-driven financial efficiency.
5 . Budget and Expense Management: Oversee budgets, expenses, pricing, and commercial arrangements to ensure financial sustainability.
6. Cost Review and Optimization: Monitor operational and product costs, optimize cash flow, oversee payments for healthcare services, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial accuracy.
7. Contract Management: Lead pricing negotiations for commercial contracts, ensuring financial feasibility and adherence to budget.
8. Billing and Claims Supervision: I oversee the billing, insurance claims, and reimbursement processes for clinics, pharmacies, and home care services.
9. Funding and Investments: Manage funding, investment strategies, and financial planning to support JBY's growth and expansion initiatives.
10. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a finance team, including accountants, auditors, payroll clerks, and budget analysts.
11. Compliance and Liaison: Liaise with auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to ensure transparency and compliance.
12. Strategic Insights: Provide financial insights and reports to senior leadership, ensuring informed business decisions.
Education Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. (Required)
2. MBA or Master of Business Administration (concentration in finance) is required. (Required)
3. CPA designation is a strong asset.
Work Experience Requirements:
1. Minimum 10 years experience as a finance director or in financial management roles. (Required)
2. Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a track record of managing finance and accounting teams. (Required)
Other Requirements:
1. Expertise in reading and interpreting complex financial reports and communicating findings to stakeholders.
2 . Extensive knowledge of Canadian financial regulations, including tax laws, corporate governance, and standards.
3. Proven skills in financial management, including monitoring, allocation, and control of finances.
4. Strong leadership and analytical skills, with the ability to mentor and manage teams effectively.
5 . Proficiency in presenting financial analyses and projections to stakeholders.
6. Adaptability in a fast-paced environment and a problem-solving mindset.
7 . Detail-oriented with a budget-focus approach.
8. Willingness to travel domestically as required.
