Warehouse Associate required for busy distribution company
Job Description
Job Summary:
• Ability to prepare large complex orders and be comfortable to work with multiple manifest software systems in a consistently fast passed multitasking environment
• Unload incoming shipments and receive them efficiently in the designated bin locations
• Assist in completion of ongoing inventory spot checks and a single year-end inventory audit that requires the employees to work one weekend per year
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping warehouse neat; complying with established policies and procedures. Will also be responsible and trained in the area of basic preventive maintenance of all lift equipment
Qualifications:
• Teamwork, coordination, common sense, organization, forward planning, time management, accurate documentation skills, dependability and tardiness are essential.
• Forklift operator certification is preferred including experience with reach, man lifts and a power jacks. An onsite operator test will be performed by the candidates during his/her initial interview on all of the above listed warehouse equipment.
• Worker must be able to physically perform the job functions, which includes manually lifting up to 100 lbs. periodically.
• Minimum 6 months warehouse experience
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Must be computer literate
• Must be proficient in written and spoken English
• Willing to upgrade forklift certification
• Criminal Background check will be the final step of the hiring process.
