Job Details Small owner operated business founded in 1973 and located in North Vancouver as a broker, importer, and distributor looking for a full time Accounting Technician.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Technician will assist in all areas of financial accounting for 3–4 companies.

Job Description Job Responsibilities
• Post journal entries, and reconcile accounts, maintain the general ledger through the careful recording and posting of transactions.
• Work with the Accounting manager to prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
• Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, and other government documents.
• Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
• Assist with month end financial reporting requirements.
• Reconcile bank /credit card statements with the organization's financial records to ensure accuracy and avoid any discrepancies.
Requirements
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field or completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using accounting software - Connected would be an asset.
