Job Details 1501751 Alberta Ltd. 1501757 Alberta Ltd. (Shelter Valley Land & Cattle) is seeking a farm supervisor for their 102049 Range Road 210, NW 18-10-20-W4, Lethbridge, AB. English speaking workplace, rural area.

Wage: $23.00/hour –
Benefits: Health, RRSP program after three months. Possible bonus program after one year.
Education: Basic
Experience: 3-5 years

Duties: All duties related to the production and harvest of hay. Maintain, drive, attach, and operate farm implements, tractors, and equipment to till the soil, plant, cultivate and harvest hay. Train general farm workers and harvesting labourers and oversee their workload. Test incoming commodities and run samples of commodities for dockage estimates. Perform some maintenance and adjustments to implements, tractors, and equipment. Evaluate the condition of the hay crop and adjust harvesting activities based on the evaluation. All duties related to irrigation and pivots. Direct general farm workers to adjust and align pivots in the fields. Operate multiple pumps for pivots. Use proper materials and methods to repair irrigation equipment. Maintain work records and logs regarding hay and crops. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. All duties related to cattle. Recognize and treat cattle health concerns. Maintain cattle health records. Supervise the Beef Cattle Herdspersons. Operate and maintain feedlot machinery and equipment. Processing cattle. Pen checking (check for illness and report) Computer data entry. Ensure water systems are operational and repair when needed. Move cattle. Sort, load, and ship cattle. Assess and supply bedding when required. Assist general farm workers with the maintenance of pens, including scraping and hauling manure. Run feeding equipment ensuring proper milling of products and maintenance of feedmill. Farm duties to help with the cattle and employees’ safety, security and well-being. General farm duties.

Weekend work is required.
