Responsibilities:

Tasks:
-Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
-Road test motor vehicles
-Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
-Perform scheduled maintenance service
-Test and adjust units to specifications
-Complete reports to record problems and work performed

Credentials:

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :
-Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
-Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
-Driver's License (Class 3 or D)

Apprenticeship training:
-Level one apprenticeship training
-Level two apprenticeship training
-Level three apprenticeship training
-Level four apprenticeship training
-Level five apprenticeship training

Additional information:

Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)
