Job Description Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain employee files and HR databases, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
• Support HR team in creating and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Assist with payroll and benefits administration, including processing payroll changes, answering employee questions, and managing benefits enrollments.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all HR-related inquiries, both internal and external, and direct inquiries to the appropriate HR representative as necessary.
• Assist with pulling and reviewing HR reporting, i.e. turnover, vacation, time to fill, etc.
• Coordinate HR-related communication, new hire announcements, meetings etc.
• Assist in the development and implementation of programs that will drive increased employee satisfaction, work safety, retention levels and exit interviews.
• Be a resource to Managers with respect to career development, compensation, recruitment initiatives, performance management and employee relations.
• Assist with Northland team member engagement survey.
• Support HR Information System-related activities – Ceridian activities as required.
• Manage Northland perks program. Consisting of Perkopolis, brand initiatives, product discounts and other elements of the program.
• Manage the Northland HR hotline. Review calls and messages to ensure we conduct a proper intake of the call and direct to the appropriate HR representative.
• Support in special HR projects, communications, and Support Centre events.
• Assist in the onboarding process, including processing new hire paperwork, conducting orientations, and facilitating new hire training.
• Support with Health and Safety accounts for various brands.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of HR.
