Ramen Raijin (Japanese Ramen Noodle Restaurant) at 24 Wellesley Street West Rear, Toronto Ontario is looking for a full-time Japanese Ramen Specialty Chef for a salary of; $23.51 per hour for 40.0 hours per week.
Qualifications;
- Must have a minimum of two years or more of experience in creating, preparing, cooking and presentation of a variety of Japanese style Ramen (noodle) soup dishes and Japanese cuisine hot appetizers
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and overtime as assigned.
- Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic oral English is required

Job Description
• Prepare, cook and present a variety of Japanese style Ramen (noodle) soup dishes such as chicken, pork, shoyu, fish and vegetable using Bamboo charcoal.
• Prepare, cook and present Japanese cuisine cold appetizers such as; Japanese style salad, pickled vegetables and Goma-ae.
• Prepare, cook and present Japanese cuisine hot dishes (Deep Fried/Grill) such as; Japanese style dumplings, Fried Chicken, Cha-shu, Steam-Rice Bowl dishes.
• Prepare, cook and present bento boxes for take-out orders and for in-store customers.
• Supervise cooks and kitchen staff in their relevant duties of preparation, cooking and handling food.
• Instruct and oversee the training of cooks in the preparation and technique of Ramen noodle dishes, cooking and presentation of appetizers.
• Check food preparation and kitchen to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices in accordance with company health and safety guidelines
• Estimate expected food consumption, maintain an inventory record and discuss with management when re-stocking supplies is required.
• Create, prepare and present new Japanese style Ramen (noodle) dishes, hot and cold appetizers for “special seasonal menu items”
