Job Details Penfolds Residential Roofing Inc. is looking for full time Roofers for 2230 Hartley Avenue, Coquitlam, BC, V3K 6X3 location. There are 15 positions available.

Hours of work are Mon-Fri, minimum hours/week are 30 hours (overtime after 40 hours). Pay is $28-$32/hour. Secondary School diploma is required. Minimum work experience is 2 years hands on experience.

Job Description Main duties are as follows but not limited to:

· Remove, install, and replace various roofing materials including asphalt, eco, cedar, flat, standing seam metal, and sheet metal flashing as required.
· Remove, install, and replace plywood sheeting as required.
· Conduct job site clean-up as required.
· Work with small and large roofing crews in a teamwork environment.
· Conduct and actively participate in Toolbox Talks, Hazard Assessments, Site Inspections, and Personal Protective Equipment Inspections.
· Perform all work in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
· Maintain personal and team safety on job sites.
· Set up scaffolding, guardrails, or other fall protection systems to provide a safe work environment.
· Must carry out work in accordance with established safe work procedures as required by the OHS provisions and the regulations.
· Must use protective equipment, devices and clothing as required by the regulations.
· Must refrain from any form of horseplay or similar conduct that may endanger the worker or any other person.
· Must ensure that his/her ability to work without risk to their health or safety, or to the health or safety of any other person, is not impaired by alcohol, drugs or other causes.
· Must report to the supervisor or employer any unsafe act or behaviour.
· Any other duties as assigned


Successful candidates will have the following requirements:

· Written and spoken English.
· Must be physically fit (ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs).
· Commitment to high standards for quality and excellence in all aspects of the job.
· Knowledge of Safe Work Procedures.
· Prior sheet metal, roofing, or construction experience considered an asset.
· Knowledge of hand and power tools for the trade.
· Knowledge of different types of roof systems and fasteners.
· Must be able to work safely outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year.
· Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent considered an asset.
