Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Responsibilities:
Tasks
Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems;
Erect and maintain steel, wood or concrete poles, towers and guy wires;
Splice, solder and insulate conductors and related wiring to connect power distribution and transmission networks;
Write maintenance reports;
Inspect and test overhead and underground power lines and cables and auxiliary equipment;
Instruct apprentices;
Install and maintain street lighting systems;
Read and interpret blueprints;
Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages;
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed;
Climb ladders or operate hydraulic buckets;
Communicate with other workers to co-ordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments;
Work in confined spaces to install power lines and cables and associated equipment;
