Job Description:

Languages: English.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Work site environment: Dusty.

Responsibilities:

Tasks:
-Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment.
-Operate machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piece-work or production basis.
-Operate sewing machines or sew by hand.

Experience and specialization:

Type of materials: Canvas, Cotton or synthetic Satin, Silk, Velvet.

Equipment and machinery experience:
Industrial sewing machine, Multi-needle machine, Piping or binding machine Seamer, automatic.

Sewing experience: Commercial, Garment section work Piecework, Semi-section garment work, Whole garment.

Additional information:

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Hand-eye co-ordination, Overtime required, Repetitive tasks, Sitting.

Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
