Job Titlebr br Purchasing Managerbr Job Type Full-time permanentbr Salary Range58-62hbr Working hour 1000am -400pm Monday to Fridaybr Work location 512 Charles East Kitchener N2G2R2 Office 2br br Responsibilities & Dutiesbr br Plan organize and manage all purchasing activities on a day-to-day basis for the Companybr Establish and implement policies and procedures to control the overall performance of procurementbr Periodically evaluate the existing vendors and suppliers for the material list as well as identify potential suppliers to maintain the cost-effectivenessbr Evaluate all the existing procurement contracts and monitor all on-going contract negotiations initiated by the Companybr Initiate discussions with company management and refine the existing material list to be fulfilledbr Maintain the budget control over all purchasing activitiesbr Review and process claims and propose feasible solutionsbr Lead guide and provide training to the procurement team to ensure quality of purchasing activities.br br Qualificationsbr Post-secondary certificate or diploma in the related field is requiredbr Minimum 5 years experience in procurement in retailbr Experience in furniture home decorations or related fields is preferredbr Willing to work shifts during weekendsbr Understanding of retail finance and budget process and key performance indicatorsbr Excellent organizational and time management skillsbr Ability to motivate and lead a team
