Salary: $20.00 to $24.00 / hour (To be negotiated)

Job requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Credentials (certificate, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Child development assistant (ECE level 1)
Experience: Experience in related filed is an asset.
Personal Suitability: Punctuality, Reliability, Flexibility, Team player

Job Duties:
1. Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
2. Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
3. Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
4. Assist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
5. Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
6. Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
7. Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
8. Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in duties needed.
