CHALET MOTEL & RESTAURANT, we are a Family Style Restaurant in Kitimat, British Columbia. We are currently looking for a permanent full-time cook position for our restaurant. If you are interested in the job, please submit your application by email.

Employment Condition:
Position: Cook
Wage: 17.00 CAD per Hour
Terms of Employment: Full time, Permanent
Work Hours: 30 to 40 Hours/Week
Starting Date: ASAP
Location: 864 Tsimshian Blvd, Kitimat, BC V8C 1T5

Job Duties:
- Prepare and cook the restaurant menu items
- In cooperation with the rest of the staffs
- Supervise kitchen helpers in preparations, cooking and handling of food
- Train kitchen staffs
- Order supplies and equipment and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas

Employment Requirements:
Languages - English
Education - Completion of secondary school
Experience - 2 years to less than 3 years
Cook Categories - Line cook
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities - Standing for extended periods, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Work under pressure

Specific Skills -
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, Order supplies and equipment, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Clean kitchen and work areas, Organize and manage buffets and banquets, Manage kitchen operations
