The position of Kitchen Manager requires an individual with the organizational skills to be successful coordinate and lead all aspects of food preparation. The overall role of the Kitchen Manager is to co-ordinate staff to deliver high-quality food on time.
As a Kitchen Manager your major responsibilities will include the following:
-ensuring efficient kitchen operation while maintaining high productivity and high food quality.
-supervising the food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory, and complying with safety and cleanliness standards.
-Maintain and manage Symposium standards.
The position of a Kitchen Manager requires an energetic, positive, goal-oriented individual who is expected to lead by example and maintain productive and quality standards during busy moments in the fast-paced restaurant environment.
Job Description
Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise and co-ordinate kitchen staff and helpers
- Estimate and order ingredients, supplies, and equipment
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas
- Establish work schedules and procedures
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Manage kitchen operations
- Ensure that food service meet quality control standards
- Plan menu
- Manage and maintain Symposium standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Kitchen supervisor, or similar
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Team player, able to work well with others in an often-hectic environment
- Experience with delegating tasks and maintaining fast-paced service
