Job Description:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods including different kinds of pizzas
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Order supplies and equipment
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Recruit and hire staff
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Prepare varied dishes from scratch with fresh products


Requirements:
- Education: Completion of high school is required
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook is required. In the event that the candidate does not have 3 years of experience a then a post-secondary certificate is required
-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, attention to detail
-Personal suitability: Team player, initiative, client focus, dependability, reliability
-Language: English is required

Salary: $15.00 hourly, 40 - 45 Hours per week.

Benefits: Uniform provided, employee will have a discount on a meal per shift.
Important Information: Employee will work from Monday to Friday. The employees’ work day shall begin at 11h00am and end at 7h00pm OR shall begin at 7h00pm and end at 4h00am. If the schedule varies the employee will be notified. Position requires flexibility in scheduling shifts. Overtime work and Weekend work might be required.
