Job Description Job requirements:

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Experience: 5 years or more.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Bending, crouching, kneeling.

Work location Information: On-site customer service. Relocation costs covered by employer, Various locations.

Work site Environment: At heights, Outdoors, Dangerous.

Additional Skills: Instruct apprentices, Prepare shop drawings, Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications, work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.

Installation Specialization: Skylights and slope glazed installations, Curtain walls, Sports installations ( sports courts and boards), Stained glass installations, Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems, Walls and other interior areas(i.e. partitions)

Frame Fabrication and Installation: Curtain wall ( stock length material), Curtain wall (prefabricated material), Spandrel panel installations, Aluminum framing members, Entranceways.

Glass Cutting Equipment and Techniques: Computerized cutters, Cut glass plate manually (straight cuts)

Major Work Area: Repair, Installation

Specific Skills: Determine type of glass, frames and material required, Measure, mark and cut glass, Position and secure panes in frame, Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products, Install door, window and other hardware, Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment, Work with customers, architects and engineers regarding plans and specifications.
