Job Requirements:
Languages: English
Education: College/CEGEP
Experience: 5 years or more
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Standing for extended periods, Overtime required
Work site environment: noisy, dusty
Personal suitability: organized, team player, accurate
Additional skills: read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications, program CNC machine tools
Business Equipment and computer applications: SAP (FI / CO/ HR / MM/ OT SD), SolidWorks software, CATIA, AutoCAD
Metal mould-making experience: blow moulds, injection moulds, compression moulds, transfer moulds, rational moulds, thermal forming moulds
Operating systems and software: Unigraphics
Patternmaking experience: Metal patternmaking, core boxes, production pattern equipment, foundry match plate work
Specialized machining processes: Ultrasonic, Plasma ARC, laser beam, water jet
Special skills: Compute dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools, verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, machine, fit and assemble castings and other parts to make metal moulds, cores boxes and precision model of required shape, inspect and test final products, set up and operate electrical discharge machines (EDM), position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining, set up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, lay out, shape and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic and other materials from blueprints, models or templates
Tool and die fabrication experience: Gauges or instruments, jigs and fixtures, metal cutting, forming or bending dies, compound or progressive transfer dies, forging die, extrusion dies
