Position: Floor Layer’s Helper

Job Type: Full-time and permanent

Salary: $24-$30/hour

Work hours: 30-40 hours/week, 52 weeks yearly

Our residential flooring installer requires an assistant / helper, installing various flooring surfaces such as carpet, vinyl, laminate, and luxury vinyl tile and plank.



Responsibilities:

Load and unload floors, and move materials to work area

Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed

Prepare and install floors

Assist to measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding

Assist to measure, cut and install carpeting on floors

Assist to inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered

Accomplish basic rough and finish carpentry tasks.



Requirements:

Secondary school diploma or above.

6+ months labourer/flooring experience

reliability and punctuality

Must have own vehicle and driver's license

Heavy lifting and carrying tools & equipment

Work on hands and knees for long hours

Outgoing personality with friendly demeanor
