Job Details NOC 6331 Meat Cutter


Besmeats Wholesale Ltd. is a leading supplier of meat located at 110 Dynamic Drive, Suite 41 Scarborough, Ontario M1V 5C7. Due to business development, we are urgently requiring 1 meat cutter. Website: https://www.besmeats.com


Personal suitability: Ability to work safely with sharp tools and cutting equipment, stand for extended periods, lift heavy items and work in low temperatures found in cold storage rooms; Must have strong manual skills.


Job Duties:

Saw carcasses and cut into halves, quarters & various cuts

Receive deliveries of meats and inspect them to ensure that they adhere to the highest quality standards

Cut, grind, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat

Remove bones from meat

Grind meats using machines

Cut poultry into parts

Weigh, wrap and package prepared meats and poultry

Prepare special orders

Monitor inventory, place orders and store meats correctly

Sharpen and adjust cutting equipment

Regularly clean the counters to reduce the risk of food contamination and adhere to food safety guidelines

Follow all safety regulations & support others in working safely

May train and supervise other butchers



Requirements:

Minimum 2 years butcher/knife experience

Secondary school education

Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods of time

Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination skills

Flexibility to extended working hours and working on weekends if needed



Job Type: Permanent, full-time position

Salary: $18.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Overtime: 1.5 times the wages after 44 hours per week

Language Requirement: English
