Job Details Jinya Ramen Bar is seeking to hire Cooks (3) for Full Time Permanent positions for various shifts

Qualifications:
• At least 7 months work experience in commercial cooking
• Knowledge of Japanese cuisine is an asset
• Completion of secondary school
• Able to work weekends, holidays and over time at short notice when required
• Must be able to work 10 – 12 hour shifts
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Have strong organizational skills with attention to details
• Able to work under pressure and fast paced environment
• Must have very good customer service skills
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Be a team player, flexible, dependable, reliable, client focused, and show initiative

Job details:
• Terms of Employment: Full time Permanent, 1 month probation period
• Location: 1800 4 St SW #180, Calgary, AB T2S 2S4
• Hourly Rate: $16.00, plus Tips and over time pay after 44 hours
• Shift Rotation: 40-44 hours per week
• Benefits:

Job Description Duties and responsibilities:
• Prepare various soup stocks for Ramen and cook hot and cold Japanese food
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Ensure that food is of the highest quality and is served in a timely fashion.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers in their relevant duties of preparation, cooking and handling food.
• Ensure kitchen is clean and safe for food preparation in accordance with the company health and safety
guidelines.
