Job Description:

? Bathe, dress and feed children
? Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
? Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
? Organize, activities such as games and outings for children following Ontario Covid guidelines
? Supervise and care for children
? Prepare and serve nutritious meals
? Prepare children for rest periods
? Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for children
? Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
? Tend to emotional well-being of children
? Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
? Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
? Travel with family on trips and assist with children supervision and housekeeping duties
? Shop for food and household supplies

Requirements:
-Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
-Experience: At least one year of full-time experience as a caregiver is required.
-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, attention to detail
-Personal Suitability: Initiative, good judgement, reliability, effective interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, organized, flexibility
-Work setting: Private home – Employer’s home
-Children ages: 1 year-old and 3 year-old children.
-Language: English is required

Salary: $15.00 to $16.00 hourly, 40 hours per week.

Important Information: Work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm. The caregiver will be responsible for the care of two children of ages: 1 and 3 years-old. This position requires flexibility in schedule due to the parents’ work schedules. Overtime, weekend work, and evening shifts may be required.
