Role Description
The Light Duty Cleaners would be responsible for ensuring the daily assigned duties related to Cleaning. The Light Duty Cleaners will be responsible for cleaning, following the procedures in using the cleaning chemical and following the instructions given by Cleaning Supervisor and will have no direct reports.

Wage Rate: $16.50 per hour (over time paid after 40 hours per week)

Work hours per week: 37.50 to 40 hours per week (Possibility of over-time)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Part-time, Casual.

Language: Basic English.

Job Duties:
? Responsible for facility, area, house, office rooms clean up.
? Sweep, wash and mop all floors, put the safety signs where required.
? Clean washrooms pick up garbage and clean the required offices.
? Cleaning of individual equipment parts if required and dusting of the area.
? Follow procedure for the use of chemical cleaners.
? Notify supervisor concerning the need for major repairs on equipment and process rooms, if required.
? Empty all facility trash cans as scheduled and replace with new liners as required.
? Manage clean storage room: make sure all supplies are in their appropriate area.
? Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
? Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers, and elevators.
? Relay any stock that needs to be reordered to Supervisor.
? Maintain daily cleaning log and schedule as directed.
? Other duties as required.

Requirements:
• No specific education required.
• On-the-job training is usually provided for occupations, but previous sanitation or cleaning experience would be given preference.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions to complete tasks.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team.

Work Conditions:
• Work hours will include a combination of, day, evening, and overnight shifts.
• Include travelling between Fraser valley and Lower mainland in British Columbia, Canada
• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Heavy lifting up to 50lbs.
• Pushing and pulling up to 50lbs.
• Physical Aptitude for bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing staircase, reaching, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
• Repetitive tasks and exposure to cleaning agents like bleach, and Shyield (Sanitation).
