Job Duties:
· Establish work schedules
· Requisition materials and supplies
· Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work
· Co-ordinate, assign and review work
· Assist guests with special needs
· Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
· Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports
· Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
· Register arriving guests and assign rooms
· Provide information on hotel facilities and services
· Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
· Process group arrivals and departures
· Take, cancel and change room reservations
· Process guests’ departures, calculate charges and receive payments
· Supervise the Hotel Front Desk Clerks
· Provide customer service
· Assign rooms to guests and inform them of any specials offered by the hotel
· Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filling, photocopying)
· Communicate with hotel staff to check guest rooms’ status
· Provide general information about points of interest in the area
· Investigate and resolve complaints and claims
· Follow emergency and safety procedures
· Handle wake-up calls
Requirements
- Education: Completion of high school is required
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Hotel Front Desk Clerk or as a Supervisor in the hospitality industry is required
Ability to supervise at least 2 people per shift.

Salary: $23.00 to $25.00 Hourly, 30 to 35 hours per week
Benefits: Accommodation provided at a discounted rate
Important Information: Must have flexible availability – morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work schedule will be 5 to 10 hours per day for 4 to 6 days per week based on the business’ needs with days off on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required.
