Job Details NORTHERN SPECIALTIES LTD. is a second generation family business that is a part of the Minish Group of Companies. Our company is the largest member-owned buying group of building-material and hardware retailers, commercial dealers and manufacturers located in Swan River, Manitoba.

The company has immediate opening for experienced Material Handler. We are looking to hire one (1) Warehouse Material Handler for full time permanent dayshift. The candidate’s duties include:
• Safely picks, packages, and tags products for orders, in a timely response.
• Load, unload, and move products by hand or equipment to assist in order picking duties.
• Operate a lift truck or a fork truck in picking orders or in storing of merchandise.
• Record all product heat numbers and manufacturers.
• Ensure warehouse is free of debris and hazards.
• Communicate any product shorts or errors directly to the Warehouse Foreman.
• Assist in resolving the problems when required.
• May perform other activities such as assisting in inventory.
• Participate in clean-up and pre-inspection of equipment.

Job Description Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications:
• From one to two years of experience is required.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical activities including: walking, standing, bending and lifting.
• Demonstrate high-quality accuracy and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in heavy lifting preferred.
