The Housekeeping Supervisor assists in the day-to-day operations of all Housekeeping functions to ensure hotel cleanliness standards are met and/ or exceeded on a daily basis. This position reports directly to the Director of Housekeeping.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma
Minimum 1-2 years experience in a supervisory position preferably in a housekeeping capacity an asset.
Passion for cleanliness and attention to detail
Computer literacy in MS Window, Excel
Demonstrates leadership, creativity and initiative
Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and have a strong ability to prioritize.
Good oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Excellent attention to details
Must be able to maintain standards under variable conditions
Professional attitude and appearance at all times
Working Conditions

Works the majority of the time indoors
Must be able to bend, reach, lift at least 30lbs
Must be able to walk and stand for an average of 8 hours per shift
Must be able to work flexible hours and days including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Description 1. Lead all staff along with the Director of Housekeeping utilizing the 10 Commandments of Living Water Resorts Service Culture Standards in conjunction with the Collective Agreement.
2. Communicate in a professional manner maintaining good relationships, listens and responds appropriately.
3. Maintains and delivers a “no compromise” attitude towards providing the highest possible level of Hospitality, Quality and Value to the guest.
4. In the absence of the Director of Housekeeping, responds to housekeeping guest complaints when brought to your attention and resolves them in a way that ensures the guest is satisfied, will return again and that every guest departs happy.
5. Adheres to all of the mandatory written standards of operations, policies, procedures, manuals, oral instructions, employee handbook, and the collective agreement that is in place at Living Water Resorts.
6. Assist the Director of Housekeeping in staff training and coaching when needed.
7. Provide employee performance feedback to the Director of Housekeeping in a timely manner as outlined in the company policy.
8. Ensure all staff has the information and tools on a daily basis to meet our housekeeping cleaning standards.
9. Actively encourages, supports teamwork and initiatives.
10. Ensure that staff uniform and grooming standards are maintained
11. Communicate and work closely with the Front Desk and Maintenance staff to ensure guest satisfaction in all aspects of their stay pertaining to housekeeping matters.
12. Performs daily inspections of guest rooms, linen closets, ice-machines, corridors, public areas, exit stairwells, elevator landings, hotel lobby and public washrooms to ensure the Housekeeping standards are being maintained.
13. Assist the Director of Housekeeping in checking, verifying and monitoring all Out-Of-Order rooms and follow-up on repairs and maintenance deficiencies.
14. Assist the Director of Housekeeping in supervising the daily activities of the Housekeeping department.
15. In conjunction with the Director of Housekeeping, provides positive, corrective action with Housekeepers to improve and meet Housekeeping cleanliness standards.
16. Secures Hotel’s keys in accordance with the key management policy.
17. Takes corrective action where required to improve safety and work areas.
18. Keeps the Director of Housekeeping informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
19. Has a general knowledge of the resort, facilities, special packages, vouchers and promotions.
20. Adhere to all Health & Safety, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board policies and procedures and promotes and works in a safe manner at all times.
21. May perform other duties and functions as assigned based on business levels throughout the resort.
