Job Description Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and special cuisines including Indian foods. Plan menus and prepare meals according to a set menu, and monitor the food portions. Estimate food requirements and costs. Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food. Oversee kitchen operations. Order supplies and equipment. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. Clean kitchen and work areas.
