We are looking for a baker to join our team in Concord, Ontario. Apply to this role if you have previous baking experience or have relevant experience in a similar role. What you will be doing:
• Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as naans, sandwich buns, pitas, traditional focaccia breads, naan dippers, bagels, pouch pitas, cookies, cake rusks, frozen naans.
• Preparing all products according to 3A Management Corp’s formula and methodology.
• Molds dough in desired shapes, places dough in greased or floured pans, and trims overlapping edges with knife.
• Setting dough to proof in baskets, linen, tins, trays as appropriate.
• Retarding dough for use in future shifts.
• Proofing dough at ambient temperature, in retarder or in proofing room, as appropriate.
• Adjusting oven temperature and application of steam to suit type of product being baked.
• Assemble all dry and wet goods for production.
• Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
• Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payments, and providing exceptional customer service.
• Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels.
• Taking client information and ensuring that deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Keeps spoilage/waste to a minimum by ordering and utilizing proper quantities and rotating products.
• Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
• Ensure proper storage of all items in refrigerators and freezers.
• Ensure product freshness and food safety.
What we are looking for:
? Post-Secondary college diploma or equivalent
? Certification in Food Handling is preferred
? Must be willing to complete the Food Safety Certification course, as offered by the Public Health Division
? Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
? Minimum one years’ experience in quantity/batch cooking as well as fine plating presentation in an institutional or commercial kitchen specifically in Italian cuisine
? Must have effective oral and written communication skills in English
? Must be physically able to perform all delegated duties
? Punctuation and Dependability is a must

Compensation: $16 per hour as per experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
