Job Description Job Duties:
- Investigate large-scale food-crop problems, conduct experiments, and develop new methods of growing crops to increase the nutritional value of crops, ensure more efficient production, higher yields, and improved quality
- Reduce the amount of harmful pesticides needed to grow crops and produce foods that are free of allergens or toxins
- Analyze soils to find ways to increase production and reduce soil erosion that is related to the environmental quality
- Prepare nutrition education materials for various audiences and offer advice to to farmers on how to better care for their crops
- Research how the body's functions are affected by nutrient supply
- Investigate the relationship between genes and nutrients
- Study and examine the process of nourishment and the association between diet , disease and health
