Job duties:
? Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
? Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
? Manage kitchen operations like preparing and cooking complete meals or
individual dishes and foods, planning menus, determining size of food
portions, estimating food requirements and costs, and monitoring and
order supplies and effectively managing inventory and records of food,
supplies and equipment.
? Restaurant opening, closing, cleaning, and server tasks are part of the job
? Cleaning kitchen and work areas to maintain station in practicing good
safety and sanitation
? Preparing, seasoning, and cooking food as directed, meeting dietary
requirements where required. Following recipes and presentation
specifications
? Other qualities may include ability to multitask and work under pressure,
dealing professionally with customers, fulfilling delivery and takeout orders
precisely, positive attitude with willingness to learn kitchen procedures.
