With the growing real-estate market in the Vancouver and Lower Mainland area, we are seeking to hire 08 Glaziers to install and repair windows at our client’s locations throughout Vancouver and Lower Mainland area.

Job Description

Job duties:

-          Responsible for on-site installation of curtain wall windows and window wall system, wall membrane, drainage and other peripheries as specified in the shop drawing in building, high rise condominium & apartment

-          Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine type and thickness of glass, frame, installation procedure and materials required

-          Measure and mark glass and cut glass using glass cutters or computerized cutter

-          Will work closely with other installers, lead hand, project manager, technical contract manager, and other on-site project workers

-          Will work closely with team member to assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolds, rigging and hoisting equipment. In charge of windows site assembly and fitting of corner post, deflection channel and clips, windows anchoring devices, seismic post and jamb, flashing and structural caulking.

-          Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products on walls, ceilings or exteriors of building

-          Fabricate metal frames for glass installation

-          Install, fit, fabricate and attach architectural metals or related substitute products in commercial and residential buildings

-          Will performs repair or replacement or servicing on site existing installed windows or glass sealed units and other supporting glass structures or damages or faulty sealed units.

-          Will carry out on-site job safety operating procedures.


Minimum of 5 years of experience, Skills requirement including:

-          Type of materials/glass: Commercial Structural grade sealed units, float glass, safety glass and other specialty glass

-          Frame fabrication and installation: Aluminum/glass window wall system, onsite fabrication of curtain wall, spandrel and aluminum panel installations, installation of wall membrane, sealants and other weathering materials as specified in the technical details or shop drawing.

-          Specific skills required: Determine type of glass, frames and materials. Measure, mark and cut glass, position and secure panes in frame, assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products, install doors, windows and other hardware.
