Hours of Work: 40 hours/week

Salary: $26.00/Hour

Job Description Main Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements

• Prepare layouts to conformance to building codes, using measuring tools

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials

• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems

• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings and hardware

• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in residential homes and other establishments

Employment Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required

• University Degree or College Diploma in related field an asset

• Must have own tools, safety equipment/gear, steel-toes safety boots, and hard hat

• 2 year to less than 3 years of related experience

• Be able to work evenings and weekends
