We are currently hiring two positions of CNC Machinists who can setup/program Bridge type High Speed 5-axis,4-axis & 3-axis Machining Centers with Fanuc Controls, Monday-Friday, for our facility in Mississauga, Ontario. The position is immediately available.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, planning, drilling, precision grinding and other operations.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations.
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Set up and program machine tools for use by machining tool operators.
  • Support production on a daily basis to ensure that customer needs are being met.
  • Enroll for continuous training and education on technical maintenance practices so as to be updated with the latest maintenance techniques and be able to keep equipment in the best possible conditions
  • Carry out routine servicing of equipment as part of measures to prevent breakdowns and malfunctions, which could thwart production activities
  • Troubleshoot equipment to determine specific malfunctioning issues and tackle them accordingly
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

 

What we're looking for:

  • Post-Secondary college diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum four year of experience operating, maintaining and programming CNC machines or combination of work experience and education.
  • Knowledge of mechanical maintenance process.
  • Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning.
  • Possess the discipline to execute tasks without procrastination
  • Good time management to work at a good pace, executing word orders and demands
  • Ability to handle tools
  • Knowledge of safety precaution
  • Good human relations to relate cordially with team members and workers.
