Job Title: Cook
Employer: Steve’s Poke Bar (SFU)

Working Location: 8931 Cornerstone Mews, Burnaby, BC, V5A 4Y7
Employment Status: Permanent, Full-time 40 hours per week

Benefit: 10 days paid vacation or 4 % vacation fee

Wage: $18.00 to $20.00 /hr (to be negotiated)

Position Available: 1

 Duties include, but are not limited to:

-        Prepare seafood and vegetables according to the restaurants standardized recipes

-        Cook complete Hawaiian-style dishes including poke balls and sushi burritos

-        Maintain proper temperatures on all products complying with company food safety requirements as well as Burnaby Coastal Health food safe practices

-        Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at all work stations to ensure smooth service periods

-        Determine how food should be presented decorative food displays

-        Make proper use of leftover food items to minimize waste

-        Clean kitchen and work areas

Qualification:

-        Completion of secondary school is required.

-        Several years of commercial cooking experience are required. Or

            Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks. Or

            Completion of college or other program in cooking.
