Main duties
• Food service supervisors perform some or all of the following duties:
o Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food in restaurant and drive thru
o Estimate and order required ingredients and supplies o Prepare daily food production charts
o Establish methods to meet work schedules
o Delegate tasks and duties
o Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
o Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
o Supervise preparation and builds of food and drink orders to ensure that food and service meet quality and brand standards
o May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets
o May be required to determine related food and labour costs.
Employment requirements
Completion of secondary school. Min 7 months to 1 year Food Service Supervisor experience is required. Certification or experience in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline including overseeing and supervising small teams is an asset.
35-40 hours per week required
