Job Duties:
? Experience in cooking and preparing Mediterranean meals & individual dishes
? Chop ingredients and prepare menu items based on the Chef's menu
? Supervise kitchen operations and helpers
? Weigh and measure ingredients and portions
? Wash, peel and/or cut various foods to prepare for cooking or serving
? Provide training to kitchen staff on cooking & kitchen operations
? Use manual and/or electric appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foods
? Assist in catering set up when required
? Store food in designated containers and storage areas for easy access
? Inform supervisors when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly
? Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators, cupboards, and
other storage areas
? Stock cupboards and refrigerators
? Refill & clean steamer table & refill with fresh water
? Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
? Perform other duties as necessary
Language requirements: must have basic ability to communicate in English language
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Wage: $18.00 /hour

Education Requirements: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Certification or recognition in related fields like
Food safety, inspection, quality control, etc. will be an added advantage.
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year’s Experience (part-time or full-time including temporary positions) in
cooking and preparing Mediterranean meals & individual dishes, preferably in a Canadian work environment is a must. Experience in supervising and training kitchen staff on cooking and kitchen operations is an asset.
