Five Star Siding Ltd. located at 13032 68 Ave Surrey BC V3W 2E4 is looking for two ‘Carpenters’ to join their team as soon as possible.

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, and Fraser Valley as per company contracts.

Job Title: Carpenter (NOC: 7271)

Wages: $27.50 per hour

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Job Duties:

-Measure, Cut and shape wood, sidings, and other materials.

-Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications.

-Build all the elements required for the floor wall and roof systems.

-To wrap porch posts and beams for buildings or houses under construction.

-To install all types of sidings, trimming wood structures and parts.

-Hardy shake installation in the gables using appropriate tools & measurements.

-Will use nails, screws, staples or adhesive to link material in construction.

-Prepare layout in conformance to building codes using measuring tools.

-Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.

-Be able to understand building materials, building codes and how they are put together.

-Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

-Completion of Secondary school is required.

-Minimum 2 years of work experience required in a similar field.

-Able to work in long hours and outdoor in various weather conditions.

-Basic knowledge of English is required
